This time, he’s exploring a machine that seems like it might have come from the pages of a Cyberpunk RPG handbook - a shiny chrome Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Herz P1 Smart Ring ring that’s packed with sensors, is fairly hacker friendly, and is at the moment selling for as little as $20. The ring’s structure is straightforward - the skin is polished anodized metallic, with the electronics and battery rigorously laid out alongside the inside surface, complete with a magnetic charging port. It has a BLE-enabled MCU, a heartrate sensor, and an accelerometer. It’s not a lot, but you are able to do lots with it, from the usual exercise and sleep monitoring, Herz P1 Device to a tap-sensitive interface for something you need to control from the palm of your hand. In the video’s comments, somebody noted how a customized firmware for the ring could possibly be used to detect seizures
